1. Are you financially able to support a new pet?

 *The cost of the puppy, food, toys, treats, vet expenses, kennel expenses if you

have to leave your pet for a period of time, be aware of these costs.

 

2. Are you able and willing to care for your pet for the rest of the pets life?

*Remember pets are a life-long commitment.

Pugs live to be approx. 10-12 yrs and puggles approx. 12-15 yrs.

 

3. Are you willing to exercise your pet daily?

*Puppies will need to be exercised, walked, playtime at least once a day.

 

4. Are you prepared to potty train your pet?

*Puggles and pugs are very intelligent breeds. They do very well with consistent training but it does take time and patience.

 

5. Are you prepared to supervise your young children with a new puppy?

*Puggles and pugs make wonderful pets for children, they are both very good

natured, lively compact dogs, but all young children need supervision with pets.

Puggles and pugs generally adore children however, they need to be socialized as with any breed and supervised properly.

 

6. Do pugs and puggles shed?

*Yes, pugs do shed alot, so be prepared for this. Puggles shed some but

not near as much as pugs. They both have medium hair coats, you will

have a minimum of shedding if you brush weekly with a dog shedding comb.
